Crisis Communication
COURSE OVERVIEW:
“No one is immune from crisis. This highly interactive workshop will focus on empowering organizations to prepare and deliver effective communication and message strategies in a crisis or a disaster. The workshop will also address the important stakeholder interdependencies and co-operation needed in large scale disasters such as forest fires, pandemic and transport emergencies where alignment of communications between multiple agencies is essential to public well-being and safety.
As a delegate you will learn that crisis events create poor perceptions and irrational fears and the capacity to get your key messages across to stakeholders and audiences is as critical as your ability to maintain the status as preferred source of news in the long term. Importantly the workshop will involve participants in „learning by doing‟ and Warren will conduct a simulated crisis exercise for participants and the scenario/s will reflect current reputation and public safety issues in the SEA region.
